چکیده

The depth-integrated wave–current models developed by Yang & Liu ( J. Fluid Mech. , vol. 883, 2020, A4) are extended to investigate currents with an arbitrary vertical profile in the water column. In present models, horizontal velocities decomposed into two components. first part deduces prescribed current velocity when waves absent. second is approximated a polynomial form. resulting obtained applying weighted residual method. absence of currents, identical those and validated several three-dimensional (3D) benchmark laboratory experiments. A theoretical analysis conducted study frequency dispersion relation linear on exponential results compared numerical solutions Rayleigh equation. Using new validations investigations then for periodic solitary one-dimensional (1DH) space. Furthermore, applied interactions two-dimensional (2DH) Two scenarios considered: (1) wave propagation over vortex-ring-like (2) obliquely incident 3D sheared varying bathymetry. shear have significant effects modifying various properties, which well captured models. However, time-averaged under interaction shows small differences velocity, except region between trough crest.

Depth and Arbitrary Motion Deblurring Using Integrated PSF

In recent years, research for recovering depth blur and motion blur in images has been making a significant progress. In particular, the progress in computational photography enabled us to generate all-in-focus images and control depth of field in images. However, the simultaneous recovery of depth and motion blurs is still a big problem, and recoverable motion blurs are limited. In this paper,...

Toxicity of Nanoparticles and an Overview of Current Experimental Models

Nanotechnology is a rapidly growing field having potential applications in many areas. Nanoparticles (NPs) have been studied for cell toxicity, immunotoxicity, and genotoxicity. Tetrazolium-based assays such as MTT, MTS, and WST-1 are used to determine cell viability. Cell inflammatory response induced by NPs is checked by measuring inflammatory biomarkers, such as IL-8, IL-6, and tumor necrosi...

Chronic Pelvic Pain— Part 2: An Integrated Management Approach

hronic pelvic pain (CPP) in women is a condition that substantially affects quality of life and has an economic impact approaching US $2 billion annually. CPP is believed to affect at least 4% and in some studies as many as 40% of women who seek primary care. CPP is responsible for 10% of all referrals to gynecologists, 12% of all hysterectomies, and more than 40% of all laparoscopies. Part 1 o...

Critical review of membrane bioreactor models--part 2: hydrodynamic and integrated models.

Membrane bioreactor technology exists for a couple of decades, but has not yet overwhelmed the market due to some serious drawbacks of which operational cost due to fouling is the major contributor. Knowledge buildup and optimisation for such complex systems can heavily benefit from mathematical modelling. In this paper, the vast literature on hydrodynamic and integrated MBR modelling is critic...

Small submodules with respect to an arbitrary submodule

Let $R$ be an arbitrary ring and $T$ be a submodule of an $R$-module $M$. A submodule $N$ of $M$ is called $T$-small in $M$ provided for each submodule $X$ of $M$, $Tsubseteq X+N$ implies that $Tsubseteq X$. We study this mentioned notion which is a generalization of the small submodules and we obtain some related results.
